Interior design, with real art on the walls.

Full-service residential interiors for mid-century and architect-designed homes. Natural materials, restraint, and original artwork, so the rooms feel collected, not decorated. The results have been featured in Dwell, Style by Emily Henderson, and IN BED Journal.

How we work

  1. 01

    Read the architecture

We start with the house and the era, not a mood board. What the building wants comes first, and everything else answers to it.

  2. 02

    Natural materials, edited hard

Wood, stone, linen, and a disciplined palette. We choose less, and we choose it well, so the rooms age like the house does.

  3. 03

    Original art, not filler

Every project ends with real work on the walls: Christa’s own paintings, and through Staged with Art, local artists like Lynda Keeler.

Questions, answered

Do you only work on mid-century homes?

It is where we are strongest and happiest, but the method travels: respect the architecture, use honest materials, edit hard, and hang real art. Good houses of any era qualify.

Can we buy Christa’s artwork?

Yes. Original paintings appear in most projects and are available to purchase, and commissions for a specific wall or room are a favorite part of the practice.

Do you take projects outside the desert?

Selectively. The studio has completed projects in Berkeley, Bel Air, Malibu, the Hollywood Hills, Sonoma, and Kauai, and takes on faraway work that fits the calendar.
