Your desert renovation, run by one accountable studio.

Most designers hand off at the drawing. We run the build. Scope, budget, permits, trusted local trades, and schedule, managed from here in Palm Springs so owners in Los Angeles or San Francisco are not flying in every week. The studio has restored a historically designated William Krisel and managed renovations from Berkeley to Kauai.

How it works

  1. 01

    Feasibility + scope

We walk the property, research the architecture, and produce an honest scope and budget band before anyone commits to anything.

  2. 02

    Design + permits

Full design development, documentation, and permitting, including historic-district sensitivity where it applies.

  3. 03

    The build, managed

Our local trades, our schedule, weekly photo updates to you wherever you are. One point of accountability from demo to punch list.

  4. 04

    The finish

Furnishing, styling, and Christa’s artwork if you want it. The house is done when it is livable, not when the contractor leaves.

Three questions, one honest budget band.

Renovation budgets in the desert have a reputation. Here is a straight answer instead.

Questions, answered

How do I renovate a Palm Springs house if I live somewhere else?

You need one accountable party on the ground. We plan the scope, hold the budget, run vetted local trades, and send weekly photo updates, so remote owners make decisions from LA or SF without managing subcontractors from a distance.

Do you work with mid-century and historically designated homes?

Yes, it is our specialty. The studio restored a unit in the historically designated Sandpiper complex by William Krisel in Palm Desert and renovated a 1958 Roger Lee house featured in Dwell. We research the architect before we touch the house.

What does a renovation cost in the desert?

Kitchens and baths typically start in the low six figures for full-scope work, and whole-home renovations of architectural properties range widely by scope. Each project page on this site publishes its real engagement range, and our first deliverable is always an honest budget band.

Are you a general contractor?

We are the owner’s design and management side. We plan, design, and run the project with licensed local contractors and trades we have vetted on our own work, and you always know who is accountable: us.
