Sandpiper, Palm Desert
A 1965 William Krisel condo in the historically designated Sandpiper complex on El Paseo in Palm Desert, restored end to end. Modern systems, honest materials, and the fun left in. Featured in Style by Emily Henderson.
The Sandpiper is one of the desert’s most loved mid-century addresses, a William Krisel complex from 1965 on El Paseo in Palm Desert with historic designation and a fiercely protective community. Our unit had great bones, tired systems, and forty years of well-meaning updates to unwind.
We ran the project end to end. Design, permits sensitive to the historic designation, trades, and schedule. The kitchen was rebuilt for real cooking on a disciplined budget. Bathrooms got color, pattern, and better plumbing. Christa’s artwork went on the walls, and some of it went home with guests.
The finished condo was featured in Style by Emily Henderson and later hosted guests as a sought-after stay. Proof that a restoration can honor Krisel and still know how to throw a party.
